"Thoughts"
Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, faraway from Nirvana, in a strange land that seems to get stranger all the time, human voices were heard questioning…questioning ..questioning. Always the same issues. Humans looking for proof of a Higher Force; looking for validation of their own perceived puny existences. There was a professor who had for some time been seeking without finding, these answers to his questions. The man was on a mission!! So this esteemed gentleman decided to “test” God, or a God Force, and once and for all have the answers to his and many of humanity’s questions. He sat down in a remote area on a beautiful sunny day, one that he seemed to be oblivious of, and proceeded to launch his inquisition. Firstly, he looked to the sky and yelled.
"GOD, ARE YOU REAL ?"
When he felt that perchance “someone up there had his attention,” he lowered his voice dramatically. The man then whispered ... "God, speak to me, if there is a God, speak to me now."
At the exact moment that he finished his statement, a dove and a meadowlark sang. But the professor did not hear.
His frustration that had been steadily building caused him to raise his voice in a more stringent fashion, he yelled ... "God, speak to me! Speak to me NOW!" At that moment the sky darkened dramatically
and extraordinarily loud thunder rolled across the sky as if it would never stop. But the man did not listen to the thunder, nor notice the changes in the sky.
He yelled even louder “Show yourself to me now!” Just then a strong wind whipped towards him and blew hard against him, causing him to stumble. But the man did not seem to notice.
Instead he looked around and said ... "God let me see you!" A brilliant star shone brightly directly above his head. But he did not see it.
Finally he screamed at the top of his lungs... "God, show me a miracle!" A life was born in a thicket behind him where a doe and her new child were lying. But the man did not know.
Instead he cried out in despair ... "Touch me God and let me know you are really here! Prove yourself to me!"
Then God in His compassion reached down and gently touched the crying man. But the man brushed the hummingbird away and walked away unknowingly.
The moral is #1, don’t ask if you don’t want to know and #2, if you need “proof” of God’s existence then you are not ready to know.
